Our story – from frustration to results

Dalarnas EKO was not born from an idea.
It was born from a problem.

My name is Sofie – and for many years I struggled with an itchy scalp, hormonal acne, and skin that never felt balanced. Dry. Oily. Irritated.

I tried everything.
Skincare. Medication. Treatments.

Nothing worked.

Finally, I did the only thing left:
I started creating myself.

When nothing else works

As a certified nutrition consultant focusing on hormones, and with a deep understanding of the body both inside and out, I began formulating products for myself.

Not for the market. Not for trends.
But to actually work.

I also live with chronic pain and fibromyalgia – which made me even more meticulous about what I use.

After over six years of development, something started to change.

My skin calmed down.
My scalp recovered.
And my hair… became stronger, healthier, simpler.

And that's when everything took off.

From kitchen to brand

When others started asking for the same results, I realized this was bigger than myself.

What started as Almgårdens developed into what is today Dalarnas EKO – with over 15 years of experience in skin and hair care chemistry.

A brand built on:

We grew fast.
But the road here hasn't been straight.

During 2023–2024, we went through one of the toughest periods – both personally and in the company. Systems crash. Deliveries delayed. Life happens.

But we didn't give up.

Instead, we rebuilt everything – from the ground up.
